tea for three, party party party
A forced perspective shelter that resembles a storage crate externally, and a replica of an apartment space within. The viewer is welcome to step inside this small and intimate space to participate in a “tea party” between a family of felines and a young woman. Upon entering, one is invited to sit in a worn wing-back and (with headpphones), listen to a musical composition that accompanies a looping rear-projected, hand-drawn animation featuring the continuous morphing of humans and animals into objects that speak of memory, comfort, and a precarious line between childhood and adulthood.
